(More customer reviews)A bit pricey for something I doubt we'll ever need again -- or at least not for another 5-10 years by which time it will be buried so deep in the shop I'll never find it.It cost as much as the replacement cartridge.

Without it, we were unsuccessful at pulling the cartridge after 20 minutes.With it, the cartridge popped out nearly instantly.Huge difference!

(More customer reviews)This device works as advertised and was very easy to hook up.It comes with a couple of different faucet adapters so whether the threads of your current faucet are inside or outside, there should be an adapter to handle it.The green light to indicate that the filter is still good is especially nice.My only complaint is that the flow if decreased by about 60-70% when using the filter so it takes a while to fill up anything larger than a drinking glass.Other than that, great product.

So I've been using it for a few months now and WOW has this cut water consumption.
I live off a cistern, a/k/a a big water tank so I have to be careful and wait for rain.This is just the best water saving device I have ever used.Nice clean flow and it's amazing how much water I was wasting.
If you pay for water this will cut your bill, if you are conserving water this is the ticket.
Now if they only made one for the toilet.

(More customer reviews)Yeah !No more black filter specks to deal with like you get with those Brita filters.Brita is getting worse and the last filter didn't even fit secure enough to filter the water.This Dupont universal version fits my Brita pitcher very well and the water taste is great.We live in an area of city water which smells of chlorine. Filtering is a must and this Dupont filter is excellent.I find it no slower than the black- speck-emitting Brita filter which is now history in this house!!

(More customer reviews)I don't know what it is about this product, but it just does not hold up at all.Actually, I do know what it is: cheaply made.
When it works, it works great.There is nothing like having fresh water at the tap without having to refill a pitcher every day.But it won't take long for you to realize that this device isn't made for the long term.
Within months of owning small leaks start to occur around the device.Shortly after those appear, the leaks worsen and will actually run into the water you are wanting to filter.
After spending over $100 on 3 replacements and how ever many replacement filters, I have learned my lesson the hard way on this product.
You really do get what you pay for in this product.

(More customer reviews)The Brita faucet filter does an excellent job of filtering out impurities from tap water -- that is, when it manages to stay attached to the faucet.However, in my experience with it (two years and two different models), a tremendous amount of my valuable time was wasted trying to reattach the filter after it would repeatedly fall off.Although I have no direct experience with the Pur faucet filter, my understanding (drawn from other reviews) is that it suffers from the same problem.

Happily, after purchasing the CULLIGAN Faucet Filter several months ago, I can now report with confidence that it is plagued by no such similar defect.In other words, once attached, it remains firmly in place, and works every bit as effectively as rival brands.So for anyone who has tried those other brands and encountered endless frustration in endeavoring to keep them attached to the faucet, my advice is: Don't give up just yet! Try the Culligan model.It's solidly built, competitively priced, and replacement cartridges are readily available from Amazon. For me, at least, the Culligan at last put an end to the gratuitous, time-wasting burden of having to continually reattach a recalcitrant water filter.
