(More customer reviews)I have a 90 gallon tank and sometimes I don't want to perform a water change to get the bottom of the tank clean. I had the multi-vac previously. I have no issues with that except over time, the pieces won't stay together. I bought the sludge extractor (PETCO) and I love it. It reaches to the bottom of my tank and I didn't have to drain any water. The pressure on the vacuum was more than adequate. I was a bit relunctant on the proce, but I'm happy I did buy it and would recommend it to others. Just shop around for the lowest price.

The H.O.T. Magnum Pro is a compact, silent, and efficient portable canister filter. It provides mechanical, chemicaland biological filtration for aquariums up to 55 gallons. The Magnum has a self priming, bottom mounted sealed motor with a flow rate of 250 gph. The filter is lightweight enough to hang directly on the back of the aquarium, and yet performs heavy duty, canister filtration. The two stage filter can quickly and easily convert from a continuous duty filter to a quick-clean micron water polisher. Mechanical filtration is provided by the replaceable Rite-Sized Foam Sleeve. (More customer reviews)I got mine in a plant tank kit. The filter seems to do a great job. My water is crystal clear, and I've had mine running for 10+ months. I've had many generations of guppies. Also my tank was incredibly overpopulated and still, the filter did a fenomenal job. I love it. When I added the substrate, ActivFlora it took care of the silt/cloudiness in the water. The combination of healthy water and good filtration makes an entirely healthy system. I hardly do water changes or maintenance aside from changing the filter cartridge.

(More customer reviews)I own both this and the Python equivalent and it is painfully obvious that the Aqueon is way better made.The Python leaks horribly at the faucet connection and has snapped apart from the faucet multiple times.They're basically the same product, but the Aqueon is better quality and so I recommend it.
