(More customer reviews)I bought this filter and it works great.Formerly, I used to boil the tap water and then use it to do the tea, borsche, soups, etc. however with this filter, there is a huge difference!!

First of, the water tests differently, second, it feels differently, and finally, the products that come out from it taste so much better.

The filter comes with two filters:a prefilter and a postfilter, both you need to alter annually.Note a few things: a. it comes with one thin hose that connects directly to the faucet on your sink.Second, you need to keep the filter on the coutertop, even if you are planning to put it below the couter.

ONE VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!!This filter does NOT weigh 70 lbs!Actual weight is 7 lbs.PLEASE DO NOT DO THE FOLLOWING>>>>Call the company and order it and make sure that you ask about the shipping -- do not pay [..] for the shipping!I don't know what the heck is wrong with them, but make sure you got overpay for the shipping.They only refunded [..] when I complained.

They are great. They really do make tap water taste like bottled water.

You need to change the filter about every 4 months even though it says 6 months. That may just be because we drink a lot of water.

Over all a great product!

Bottom line on the price:

The station starter kit sells for under $40 elsewhere.Guess what?So does the 4 pack of replacement filters!Hint: Sam's Club (and others)

Charging more than double that of many other profit-making vendors is completely wrong.

We use the larger ZeroWater2-part container on top of the same watercooler that used the large 5-gallon bottles. That water tastes great and is crystal-clear. My only complaint is the cost of the filters. Brookstone sold the 4-pak for $29.99 last year, but it's up to $52.99 now which is only a bit cheaper than Home Depot's $60.00 price. If it weren't for that high cost, I would have rated the water filtration system 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)At first the water tasted fine and we were happy, but after about a month and half we noticed a fishy odor in the water itself (while the water tester was still reading zero). There are only two of us so I have trouble believing we could use up the filters that quickly and besides the water tester indicates the water is still clean each time the smell occurs. I looked on the Zerowater website and found no information about foul odors. I contacted customer service and all they could say was "sorry you're dissatisfied". We've had to replace the expensive filters every month and a half and my husband cleans and airs out the entire system each time he replaces the filters (which we have had to do 4 times now). Now we are very dissatisfied with the product and frustrated because we don't want to keep lugging home water and buying more plastic bottles. Personally, the smell is so gross that even after the filters are changed I'm hesitant to drink the water.

(More customer reviews)Most of us have had water filtration systems; either the under sink, mounts to faucet, or most commmonly, the filter-in-pitcher system.I saw this on a late night infomercial and was hooked. I will keep this review short and sweet:

Pluses: Nice attractive color, Spigot and valve ON the pitcher so no need to remove the pitcher from the fridge everytime you want some water, Zero-water meter is included (and can be stored IN the pitcher)

Minuses: Capacity could be greater.Filter is so massive that you go through the filtered water QUICKLY, especially if you have a larger family;
AND...the #1 drawback:This pitcher filters VERY SLOWLY.I am used to other Brita-type units and this is the slowest I've ever seen.Often when the pitcher is over half-full, and I fill the top reservoir, it doesn't drain completely after 3-4 HOURS.I have to keep a 1/2 gallon bottle in the refrigerator filled with cold filtered water since this filters so slowly.

So, great concept, water is fantastic, but pitcher filters way too slowly if you have a family larger than 2-3.
