Tetra Deluxe Tank Kit - 10 Gallon Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I just received the item from [...] yesterday. It comes with a 10 gallon glass aquarium, whisper power filter 10,biobag filter catridge, fluorescent bulb, and also a small sample of AquaSafe and TetraMin food flake from Tetra. These are reasons why you should have this aquarium to start with:

1)The 10 gallon deluxe kit is all complete set to start with. I opened up the box, unpacked everything, read the manual for minutes and poof, my aquarium is all-ready! The filter is smooth, quiet and works efficiently.

2)The fluorescent light is all enough to lighten every angle of your aquarium. It can also gives some heats to your aquarium and really looks shining and bright during the nights.

3)After running it for a day, I add the gravels, live plants, Tetra AquaSafe to treat the tap water, also i bought a bacteria supplement from pet store to introduce the tank with useful bacterias.

4)After finishing step 4, I went to PetSmart and bought 4 guppies. I put them all in the aquarium and they swim in it happily. The temperature is already around 68-74F, without using heater. So, the fish are happy.

Conclusions, this Tetra 10 Deluxe kit is awesome! Buy it for your kids or yourself for full satisfaction!

Aqueon Aquarium Power Filter 10 - up to 10 Gallon Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My 10 gallon tank had sea horses in it and because of that, the tank can certainly get filthy in a hurry. Since I never had Sea Horses, I didn't think to buy the clean team which includes: snails, crabs, and a starfish. The Sea Horses, which are beautiful creatures are also deliberately slow eaters. Uneaten food will sit for a very long time. My water got cloudy very quickly and I found that I had to change the water a lot but this didn't do much good. I felt like I had to get a really powerful filter usually reserved for a 45 gallon tank. I orginally had a whisper filter that seemed like it didn't work. To top it off, the filter's motor burnt out. I was without a filter and didn't know what to do.

I went to my pet shop and this filter was recommend. What a difference! Within an hour, the water was so clear, it seemed like it was filtered water with no one in it. I was amazed. Even with Sea Horses, this filter was able to keep up and do the job. The filter uses a pad and has a biological filtration area (there is no need to add any biological agent at all, the filter "creates it." You can add some to help speed things along. The filter pad is inexpensive. I bought a 3-pack. The one knock is that it creates a strong stream that will send weak fish flying ie Sea Horses. One of my Sea Horses loved it though, he seemed to purposely swim near the filter current, get swept away, and come back. Also, if your tank is not filled high enough, the current (out take) will "dig" a hole in your sand/gravel. Other than that, this is a terrific filter.

Classic Whisper Power Filter 60 - up to 60 gallons - 330 gph Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have owned a whisper filter in the past and find them a superior product. So I was not hesitant to buy this one.The whisper does work better than most standard filter systems that come with aquariums these days. So thats why after 1 month I ditched the Aqueon filter system that came with the tank I purchased and switched to the Whisper filter. The only thing I would say that is negative is the sound... it isn't a whisper at all.. more like a water fall in your house. So if you find the sound of running water irritating this isn't the system for you.I find it soothing so it isn't a problem.
