Product Description:
The Frigidaire WFCB PureSourcePlus Refrigerator water filter fits most Frigidaire refrigerators made before 2001. It replaces frigidaire part numbers 5303917752, RF-200, RC200, RC-200, RC-101, and Sears Kenmore part number 46-9906, used in Kenmore refrigerators that are made by Frigidaire (model numbers starting with 253). Most refrigerators with this water filter have a sliding month marker built into the fridge above the filter housing. The PureSourcePlus filter cartridge itself has white ends, like the one pictured. It improves the taste and odor of the water and removes the following impurities: 99.99% of Cysts, 99.80% of Particulates (Class I), 99.70% of Turbidity, 99.30% of Lead, 97.80% of Chlorine (Class I), 94.2% of 2,4-D (a herbicide), 94.9% of Atrazine (a herbicide), and 87.5% of Toxaphene (a pesticide). It Does Not Remove Flouride. Frigidaire recommends that you replace the filter every 6 months OR if the refrigerator has not been used for more than two weeks (for instance, during a move) OR if you notice a decrease in the flow of water or objectionable tastes in the water or ice.

Aqua Fresh DA29-00003B (WF289) Review

(More customer reviews)Filter only provides adequate filtering for a couple of weeks, then gets progressively worse in the following weeks to the point where the water coming from the filter produces a strong odor that is far worse than whatever you might detect from the tap.Horrible quality, will avoid ALL products under this brand in the future.

Water Sentinel WSG-1 Replacement Filter for GE, Kenmore, and Hotpoint Filters, 3-Pack Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased these instead of the GE WMF filter because the GE's were SOOO expensive. This is the first time I've purchased something other than GE filters. They work just fine. One thing I would say, though, is make sure you turn the water off to the frig before you change the filter. My husband didn't do that and we had a flood in the frig.

Frigidaire PAULTRA Refrigerator Air Filter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This filter is a very poorly designed product. Our filter that came with our Frigidaire Professional was a solid filter, the replacement has three tissue thin carbon sheets as a filter. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in products, as this is the recommended filter for my refrigerator, but I do not recommend it, I will shop for a generic replacement.

Water Sentinel WSW-2 Replacement Fridge Filter, 2 PACK, Fits Whirlpool 4396510 Review

(More customer reviews)This is not an exact copy of 4395610.This is only a carbon filter and does not remove all the contaminates of 4395610. 4395610 also Reduces cysts, asbestos, particulates, lead, and mercury.
If all you want is a carbon filter this does the job but you can get it even cheaper if you look at other part numbers that fit your fridge. These also sell as 4396508 for under $60.
If you are going to compare a product it should do the same thing.

3 PACK Frigidaire WF1CB Enhanced Refrigerator Replacement Filters; Fits Frigidaire RG100, RC200, WFCB, WF1CB Filters Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought a 3 pack of these and could not be more dissatisfied. The water tasted horrible (extremely chemically) from the very first glass (after the 3 minutes flush that was recommended). I used the first filter for about 1 month and the horrible taste was just as strong as the first glass. I am throwing this one (along with the other 2 that came in the pack) away. I went to Best buy and bought a factory Frigidaire filter and the water is back to tasting amazing, crisp and clean. If you shop around online you can find factory filters for less. But remember, you get what you pay for. This has been a $23 lesson to never buy cheap water filters.

Water Sentinel WSF-2 Replacement Fridge Filter, 6 PACK, Fits Frigidaire WF1CB Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought a 6 pack of these Frigidaire water filters so I would have enough to last 2-3 years.
They can be used for approximately 6 months before needed replacement. I did notice that the
filters really should be changed maybe around 4-5 months instead. The signs of it needed changing
is when the water flow seems slower and the stream is not as forceful as normal. They are very
easy to remove and replace in my Frigidaire side by side. When I saw how much Lowes wanted for
the same filters, I decided to purchase these on Amazon from a trusted seller.
I highly recommend these filters for general water filtering.
If you want a special filter that removes all chemicals including Fluorine, be prepared to
spend a lot more.
