(More customer reviews)I started to run this air purifier exactly 52 hours ago, and it has already changed my quality of life.

I have never owned an air purifier before.I have been literally choking on the air in my own apartment during the several months that I have been living here, and I had extremely unrealistic expectations about an air purifier:I imagined posting something like, "Wow!I could feel the difference after two hours!"Well, OK, it took more than two hours!But it happened.

I started it on low fan with the sanitizer disabled.Then I went to medium fan, then I added the sanitizer on low, then I put the fan on high and the sanitizer on medium.I awoke this morning no longer choking on the air and no longer confronted with the aggressive dusty odor with which I had come to associate my apartment.I left it today with the fan on high and the sanitizer on medium and returned tonight to a completely different atmosphere.

I am not afraid of the ozone produced by the sanitizer but if you are you can choose to run it only once in a while or never.

My only concern is that, unlike some other air purifiers, this one does not have a display light that indicates when the HEPA filter is dirty (and this HEPA filter is permanent if you have a hand vac although you can also choose to buy a replacement filter [also readily available through amazon]).Since this is my first air purifier, a dummy light would have been great.But I went for the price.I guess I'll know when the filter needs vacuuming or changing when I sense that the air is once again heavy with particles.

But no negatives.I love this thing.I want to hug it.

EPO36 Hamilton Humidifier Replacement Filter Review

(More customer reviews)My previous filters had no metal frame. This one came with metal around it with perforations. I thought the perforations would work fine but like another reviewer, I found water all over my floor around the furnace. After removing the metal frame and putting the un-framed filter back in, it works great. This is very hard to find and I'd buy another. Hope this helps - cross references these filters (as far as I know): EP036, 10HF, H7504, RH7504, FH-182.

This also has another unique feature - a REVERSE-FLOW option - so the powerhead can also take water from close to the surface and move it through the gravel in the opposite direction.Whichever method of gravel filtration you prefer, this powerhead can accommodate you.

I've been involved with aquariums for over 16 years, and this is one of the finest accessories for an aquarium I've ever had.If you're considering ornamental fish as a hobby, I heartily recommend this powerhead.It is powerful, quiet, and gives your options of reverse flow and adjustable waterflow.

Be advised on one thing - when the powerhead is operating in reverse flow, small fins like guppies can get stuck to the plastic grid from which water flows into the powerehead - and never escape.So this item is better suited to larger fish when using the reverse flow feature.But it's adjustability enables you to slow the waterflow to a trickle for a powerhead that does not promote too much water turbulation for smaller fish.

(More customer reviews)This is a great machine for the price!At first I was nervous because of the plastic feel, but it seems to be holding up really well.It is very quick to heat up.VERY quiet considering the ceramic grinder.It is given 4 stars because of how quickly the drip tray fills up (near the coffee grounds drawer) otherwise I would give this a 5 star rating.It has to be emptied once a day if you have used the machine a lot.We do because it has the awesome feature of sending out hot water with the spout just by pushing the water button and turing the knob on top.So we use this machine for hot tea too! Also the water tank is a little hard to get out.Maybe we are being too gentle with it, but you do just have to give it a little extra pull. The adjustable drip tray (in front) is great.I just make my latte to go in a travel mug.The ability to switch from frothing the milk - which is very fast - to immediately making the espresso it my favorite feature.

Overall this is an excellent machine, makes great espresso, easy to use, and looks great too!

Bodum Assam 4-Cup Tea Press Teapot Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this with the bodum tea warmer (the electic one they sell here) and use it every morning at work. It is WONDERFUL, as I can brew up tea or just have hot water on hand for teabags or my chai tea mixes. There's a hot water tap at work from the coffee maker, so it's simple to fill up. If I had this at home, I'd get a 4-cup pyrex cup so I could microwave that much water at once.
CLEANING:
You use a scrub brush every few days if needed. One of those yellow sponges with green scrubbies on them. The infuster does NOT hold on to flavor unless you are simply not washing it. The infuser is plastic, so if you don't actually wash it off but just run water over it, yes it will retain odor/taste. You have to have a semi abrasive action to take off whatever hangs around. Really not an issue if you aren't a completely lazy bum. Takes me about 30 seconds to run a scrubby sponge around the inside and outside and I only need to do that if I've left it sitting around for hours on end with strong tea leaves inside.
The plunger does NOT get stuck unless you are a complete weakling or have a defective product. There's suction at work once you've pushed it all the way down, so of course it won't glide up smoothly with a light tug. I probably use more strength opening a jar of jam than I do lifting the plunger.
Combine this with the warmer and you've a GREAT product. You can have tea on hand for hours and sip your mornings away.
They also sell a 2 cup and a 6 cup model. Judge how much you might drink and then pick the one that suits you best. I sometimes wish I had the 6 cup one instead, as I find that if I have that much tea on hand at my desk, it's very easy to drink and suddenly find it all gone without thinking about it. I love it.

Travel Ultrasonic Humidifier Review

(More customer reviews)This unit is the original travel/portable humidifier.I shopped around and looked at the several imitators, but decided to go with the Air-O-Swiss name/reputation that I know and love.

This unit is tiny, and comes with a power adapter with both US and European plugs and a soft cloth carry bag.

I use it at McMurdo Station, Antarctica where the average humidity is in the single digits.It puts out less water than my full-size Air-O-Swiss unit at home, but a remarkable amount for a unit this size.

The blue light that others have complained about is fairly bright - as most blue LEDs are - but it's no brighter than most night-lights, and hasn't bothered my sleep.The blue light switches to a red light when the water runs out... kind of a nice heads-up feature if you don't have the output set high enough to see the "steam" coming from the spout.

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to make this purchase again, and I'd replace this unit with the same if needed (unless or until Air-O-Swiss comes out with their own new replacement/upgrade).There are a couple other copies that are less expensive, but I haven't tried them - I went with the quality/service that I trusted at the cost of the higher price tag.
