(More customer reviews)My five cats love this fountain! No more trips to the sink to turn on the tap for my feline friends. It's much quieter than the Drinkwells I used to have. I bought two Catit fountains several months ago and I'm very impressed. They really do hold a lot of water. I only have to refill them once a week. Maintainence is a snap! Everything comes apart easily for a once-a-month cleaning (including the pump!)keeping them running smoothly and prevents mold and mineral deposits. The filters are easy to change and inexpensive.

The water flows quietly and smoothly over the dome, provided the fountain is on a level surface. At initial start-up and after refilling it may be necessary to "massage" the dome to break any "static cling" that would prevent smooth-flowing water. The one on the ceramic tile floor is a bit off-level so it doesn't flow as smoothly or as soundlessly as the one on the hardwood floor. But it's a LOT quieter than the Drinkwell fountains. A cushioned placemat underneath the fountains helps catch any kitty-spills and makes the fountains virtually sound-free! I like the bubble design and it doesn't take up much room. I'm very happy with this product.

(More customer reviews)I have been shopping for a new watering set up for my new Maine Coon cat who adores water!I came across this the day it was released.It was similar to the plastic model but it looked like it had a stainless steel insert.I had a bit of an issue with the price but I ordered it anyway.I got it the very next day and was I surprised!The dish is 100% stainless steel!The quality is top notch!I use the ring (the few plastic parts it has) with a 3 spout.My Mokie LOVES it!If he had opposable thumbs he would give it a 2 thumbs up rating, so I guess it is a 2 dew claw rating for now from him and a 2 thumbs up from dad.It runs quiet, noisier if you want it to and adjust the volume of the water high.It is attractive, functional and I am proud to have it out in full view when people come over since it doesn't look like a cheap cat fountain.I love this and am VERY glad I went ahead and spent the extra on the stainless model for both aesthetic reasons and for the health reasons for Mokie since stainless resists bacterial growth better than plastic.

(More customer reviews)I have had this fountain for over a month now, and all five of my cats use it, although it took a day or two for them to get used to it.I got so tired of them jumping on the sink wanting me to turn on the faucet so they could have running water that I decided to buy a fountain.They would rarely drink water from a bowl on the floor and I don't like them drinking from the toilet bowl, either!

I looked at a lot of different types of fountains and many of them are so expensive, so I took a chance on this one.The pump is small, but does the trick.It makes less noise than an aquarium pump.It is a bit tricky to figure out where it goes from the enclosed picture on the directions - hint:place it at the back.The one thing I've noticed is that you do have to keep this fountain full.The pump will get noisier as the water level drops.I keep mine on a corner of the kitchen counter and just add a cup or so of water once or twice a day as I pass by.It's easy to clean and so far, I haven't replaced the filter, just rinsed it out and replaced it.Probably time to put in a new filter, though. All in all, I'm very pleased with this little fountain.
