Zoo Med Turtle Dock for 15 Gallon Tanks, Medium Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My turtles have grown since I purchased their original turtle dock. They were getting so large that they sunk the old turtle dock (small), so I knew I needed a larger one.The product is just what my turtles needed so that they can come out of the water to bask. The only odd thing is that when it arrived (in its original packaging) it was kind of oily and sandy feeling, but I just washed it off.

Black & Decker DLX1050W 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, White Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Yes, I used to have to buy those overpriced, German coffee makers--but not any more. When my latest $100 coffee maker started leaking from both the underside and from the little, unreadable, glass tube on the side, I started looking around for a replacement.

I settled on this Black and Decker model because it does everything the high-priced models do, but at a quarter of the price. After three weeks, the clock still keeps excellent time, the machine still comes on when I'm sound asleep so that I wake up to coffee ready to drink. The coffee tastes very good (c'mon, drip coffee is drip coffee--and I am STILL a coffee snob) and is certainly hot enough. The coffee maker is absolutely EASY to program; each button serves but one function.Aside from the fact that it doesn't LEAK, it seems I lose power here with disturbing regularity, so I like to be able to set the clock and the timer easily and quickly and feel assured that I'll have coffee when I wake up.

What I don't miss about the old coffee maker: leaks, erratic, confusingprogramming and multiple functions for one button, default ON for auto coffee making (and there's no way to turn it OFF), special little (hard to find) charcoal filter gizmo, adjustable temperature settings on the hot plate, and did I mention LEAKS.

What I miss about the old coffee maker: ability to change length of time the hot plate stays hot, "CALC" calcium warning. Both of which are easy to overcome. If I want two more hours of hot plate all I do is hit the "power" button; if I want to decalcify my machine, all I have to do is run a load of vinegar through on the solstices and equinoxes.

Product Description:
Brew up to 12 cups of great-tasting coffee at a time with this programmable coffeemaker. Its soft-touch control panel provides an easy-to-read digital display and an auto-brew option, as well as a programmable clock and timer, which comes in handy for making "wake-up" coffee or for having a freshly brewed pot ready and waiting when it's time to serve dessert--no need to get up from the table half way through dinner. The appliance also offers a Sneak-A-Cup interrupt feature for pouring a quick cup midbrew, while its nonstick keep-warm plate ensures the last cup tastes as hot and fresh as the first. After keeping coffee hot for two hours, the appliance will shut off automatically for safety and peace of mind. A Duralife glass carafe comes included, complete with a generous stay-cool handle, measuring marks up the side, and a dripless pour spout for graceful serving. Other highlights include a removable filter basket, a convenient water-level indicator, a power indicator light, and a smooth exterior that wipes clean with a damp cloth. The coffeemaker measures approximately 11-3/5 by 9 by 13-8/9 inches and carries a two-year limited warranty.

Generac Guardian Series 5504 17,000 Watt Air Cooled Propane/Natural Gas Powered Home Automatic Standby Generator With Transfer Switch (CARB Compliant) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We had our house built in 2007 & I received a great deal of ribbing from family (including wife) & friends for spending the money to get the electrician to wire for the backup generator and for spending $3,000 on the generator.Within the first 6 months our area lost power in one of the worst ice storms in Oklahoma history.I got up the morning of the ice storm and was not aware that power had been lost.I noticed that the oven clock wasn't on, and that was the only indication. While we were watching TV and surfing the internet & making coffee (generally just living our lives) our neighbors were lighting candles and sleeping in their living rooms next to the fireplace to stay warm.We did have to have the electrician come out to get power to our septic system, but other than that, the generator did exactly what it was supposed to do.That time the power to the area was off for 9-12 days and our generator ran 24 hours a day.We have had numerous blackouts for shorter periods of time since then.In changing the oil & filter, the oil looked exactly like I had just poured it in the generator (clear w/no blackness at all).My wife and I both say that in addition to a burglar alarm, a backup generator is one of the things that we will always have in our home, wherever we are.

Vicks Vaporizer with Night Light, 2 gallon Model V200 1 ea Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a very nice vaporizer. You do have to use the pinch of salt as indicated by the manufacturer, but that's about it.It runs like a dream and is great for a baby's room.I clean mine nightly before using it because I just don't want to have to worry about bacteria build-up.It's very quiet, does the job, and I've used it myself for colds.A very nice investment for a good product.

Vapor Therapy for Healthful Living
Water is one nutrient that all forms of life must have to survive. All functions of your body require sufficient moisture to work properly. When your body does not have sufficient moisture, it functions poorly. Dry, arid climatic conditions are usually the culprit. Colds and flu can further cause dehydration.
Colds and flu begin making their seasonal rounds during fall and winter. Part of the reason for increased respiratory illness during this time is because the humidity level in the air reaches its yearly lows. Central heating units in homes and offices further remove moisture from the air. The relative humidity may drop to as low as 10% -- drier than the air in the Sahara Desert. Most people experience problems when the relative humidity drops below 25%. A comfortable humidity level should not be higher than 50%.
The steam vaporizer helps combat this excessive dryness, providing these benefits:
Keeps your respiratory system moist, allowing it to fight off bacteria, viruses and pollutants.
Relieves cold, flu and hay fever symptoms.
Relieves dry, irritated and itching skin and eyes.
Relieves coughs and dry, scratchy throat.
Helps you breathe better and sleep more comfortably.
Stops dryout damage to plants, paintings and furniture.
Saves you money on your heating bills, since proper humidity lets you feel more comfortable at lower temperatures.
Kaz invented the electric vaporizer in 1924 and today is the world's leading manufacturer of vaporizers, humidifiers and other healthcare appliances.
How it works
The exclusive Kaz Safeguard® construction provides maximum safety, performance and reliability. The vaporizer boils the water and produces a pure vapor which is released into the room.
