Dirt Devil SD20005RED Scorpion Quick Flip 7 AMP Hand Vac - RED Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is the most powerful little vacuum I've ever had, The most ingenious invention is the little retractable crevice tool. In my whole life I've never attached a crevice tool even when I needed it just out of laziness. This just sucks up dust immediately in between anything. It doesn't hold alot of dust so after each use I just take an old dish/pot brush and brush off the filter. The dust sticks to the cloth filter and will not come off just by tapping it along side your garbage pail like the instructions say. Takes a minute and is well worth it as this is more powerful than my canister vacuum. I started to use it on a small area of my living room rug where lint always sticks at the entrance and ended up doing the whole rug and went on to other rooms. You'll love this powerful little sucker and end up writing a great review like I just did!

Product Description:
With its powerful 7 amp motor, this handheld vacuum cleaner makes easy work of every day messes and dry spills. Use it to remove anything from stepped on cereal on the kitchen floor to soccer-cleat dirt by the front entryway--it even picks up sand and pebbles often left behind by other cleaners. The unit's lightweight design and generous handle ensure comfortable use, while its long 16-foot power cord provides consistent power with no recharging needed. Dirt and debris collect in a large bagless cup that removes for quick emptying and reattaches with little effort. Other highlights include a thumb-activated on/off switch, a flexible hose, a dusting brush for tabletops and bookshelves, and a flip-down crevice tool for getting into tight spots like between couch cushions or along window sills. The handheld vacuum cleaner measures approximately 16 by 5 by 4 inches.

Dirt Devil 082660 Vision Canister Vacuum Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Overall I like this vac for the price. It is not comparable to it $200 counterparts, but for the $69 I paid for it, it was well worth the money.I think this vac is comparable to vacs in the $80 or less range.
PROS: I have a bad back so I love that it is so light and easy to move.Empting it is so easy, just press one little button and your done. I also like how they separated the filter area from the dust area so you don't have to shake out the filter each time you use it.It works great for places like the bathroom where there are bath mats; it goes right onto them without sucking up the corners or chewing up the rug. It is low profile so it goes under furniture and around items very easy. The cord retractor works great, I have never used a cord retractor that actually works all the way to the end, but this one does!
Cons: The vacuum head is a little cheap; it feels flimsy and has a hard time on carpet. The spinning head is moved by the suction, not by the motor, so it doesn't spin very well on carpet, you have to baby it a bit. It does have a hard time picking up small thing, you have to pick up the head and put it right over the object, then it will pick it up.
If your house has wall-to-wall plush carpet this vac is not for you.It has a very hard time rolling on thick carpet. If you have almost all hardwoods like me, it is great. I have 2 boys and a black lab so we put our vac to good use in our home.
If you are looking for a very nice sturdy vacuum that is quality made you are going to have to spend more money, but if you want something that will get you by for a few years while you are saving up for that Dyson, this is a good bet.
