(More customer reviews)While nothing will ever really replace the Cinderella-style of hands and knees scrubbing, this mop certainly is better than pulling out the regular mop and bucket of luke warm brown water.
It is sturdy enough and easy to assemble. its easy to use and does a great job of cleaning without chemicals. Sticky juice spills in the kitchen come up quickly and easily and the sanitizing feature is great for the area just in front of the bathroom toilet where men can never seem to avoid. lol.
The cord was plenty long enough for the rooms in my house, since I dont live in a mansion with huge rooms. And I was able to clean my kithen ceramic tile in less time than it took my husband to go outside and smoke a leisurly cigarette. The floor dried much faster than with regular mopping but I could see spots of dampness here and there when I was done so I am not sure how safe i would feel using it on hardwood floors.
The cons: it only comes with 2 reusable pads. So after the kitchen and bathroom I had to stop and wait for the wash before I could do the hall bath and the downstairs bath. Plus I felt I could redo the kitchen a 2nd time since the pad was so filthy the first time around. So you really do need to buy more pads.
Also, it does NOT do grout. If you have a spill in the grout lines the best you can do is 'sanitize' the spot (holding the mop there for 8 seconds) to loosen the dirt and then manually wiping clean with a rag or paper towel.
Finally, while the swivel head is easy to manever, it really does not get into corners all that well. And much like regular mopping, you have to sweep well or vacuum first or elseyou will just be pushing around crumbs or hair which will collect along baseboards and corners.
Since this is a great novelty mop, and since I love that I dont have to buy cleaners, I would definetely recommend this mop for people who like to keep their floors clean, and are sick of the mop and bucket style of cleaning. My floors are cleaner and I look forward to using it again when those stupid pads go through the wash again. lol.

(More customer reviews)I have owned this vacuum for a couple of years now.Although it's expensive and not "fancy", we purchased it because our previous machines were never satisfactory.They either blew dirt back out the exhaust, were super noisy and/or heavy, and the cake was taken when a relatively new but just-out-of warranty machine needed repair and could not be fixed.The Lindhaus is very lightweight and easy to manuver, very quiet so others are not disturbed and children and pets are not afraid of the noise.It does not have a "headlight", but does have an indicator light that goes on when the bag is full and needs to be changed.It's easy to change the bag.The machine is repairable and though I have never needed this service, there are several vacuum stores in my area that can handle this brand.The only downside, I would say, is the bags seem a little more expensive, but I should add that I have not priced the bags of other brands lately.I would recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable machine and isn't overly impressed with bells, whistles and doo-dads.

(More customer reviews)Whether I used a regular mop and bucket, my swiffer wet jet, or my hoover steam vac, I always ended up with a haze on my hardwood floors that I would clean off with a wipe or furniture polish.This is the first machine that leaves my floor shiny and without a haze.It is worth it just for that!!!I also like the job it does on my lineoleum.The first couple of times I used it on what I thought were clean floors because I had recently mopped them, I was surprised at how dirty the water was.After using this as my primary means to clean my floors (two maybe three times a week depending on traffic and what is going on in my household) I notice that my floors not only look cleaner, but also feel much cleaner on the few occassions when I am not wearing house slippers. This is so much better than the regular mopping.

I have read other reviews on the flip-it regarding water being left on the floor; when that does happen, I just go back over that section so that it will be taken care of. For the most part I don't care about a little water on the floor because I would have so much more if I had the mop and bucket or used my steam vac.I am sold!

(More customer reviews)I have done a lot of research on different steam mops. I looked at prices and read hundreds of reviews and finally settled on the H2O Steam Mop.

When it came I tested it on every floor surface in my home including ceramic tile, wood floors, and vinyl flooring.What I found was that it works very well on most floors.Wood...eh...it was okay, but on my old-fashioned, textured vinyl it was AMAZING! I live in an old home and I haven't replaced the hallway vinyl flooring yet, which I hate because I have to get down on my hands and knees to scrub in the nooks and crannies (which really collect grime).This mop, when used properly and slowly, cleaned the floor so well it looks almost new! Ceramic tile, also great.It even cleaned the grout.My floors look better than they have in a looong time.

I have 2 big dogs, a daughter with lots of friends, and a small pool in the backyard.I own one of those "spray-and-mop" products and it is fine for quick cleaning (several times a day!) but it leaves a film on the vinyl floor, especially used over and over.This steam cleaner uses only water so there are no chemicals, no bucket to fill, and it thoroughly cleans without leaving any residue. With a busy life and no great love for constant cleaning, this steam cleaner makes my life soooo much easier.

I have read reviews that say this type of mop is junk and it doesn't work well, but as far as ease of use and level of cleaning ability I think it is well worth the money.It does leave some water on the floor, but no more than a regular mop.I would highly recommend this steam mop for anyone with kids, pets, and/or high traffic areas.I don't know how I survived this long without it!

(More customer reviews)This thing is loud, but it works.If there's a weakness, it's that the dry vacuum doesn't seem to do too well.But that's what a good sweeping is for, isn't it?I have linoleum, and the H3044 did a fine job.The cleaning solution was pretty filthy when I poured it out after use, both satisfying and repulsive at the same time!It seems that this is a new Hoover model (July 2007), which explains why there are not a lot of reviews to be found online.I wish it could use Pine-Sol, because I have a Costco-sized jug of that stuff on hand already.Will vinegar/water mix work?I have no idea.I don't see why not.I guess the fear is that the gaskets will fail if solvents are used.Guess I'll stick to the Hoover stuff for now.Anyways, it scrubbed my floors quite well, even though they're a bit uneven/warped.The vacuum is great at picking the solution back up.Hope that helps.

(More customer reviews)After hearing wonderful things about steam mops from my friends, I starting doing research on them.I was anxious to retire my Swiffer which, as a mop, was better than nothing, but it left my dark hardwood floors streaky and I felt like I was just pushing the dirt around on the ceramic tile in my kitchen.I borrowed my neighbor's Shark and after using it one time knew that I wanted a different mop.I was excited to see this new model from Bissell as I had narrowed it down to a Bissellor the Eureka Enviro-Steam.[...] so I decided on the Bissell.The Bissell 31N1 was easy to put together, and includes a hanger so that you can hang your steam mop for storage.I used distilled water since it is supposed to prolong the life of the filter it comes with.The pads are substantial and easy to attach and stay in place while mopping.The unit took a little while to warm up but has an indicator light to tell you when it is ready.In use I saw hot steam pouring out which was great.The floors stayed wet for a while after use, but just like what happens when you mop a floor.I think I was trigger happy so I probably won't hit the steam button as much next time and try to spread the steam around a little bit better.I did dry the hardwoods after I used it as a precaution and that was fine.I was disappointed to see my hardwood floors were still streaking but a neighbor told me that once all of the other floor cleaners come off the floor (after I continue to use my steam mop), the streaks will go away.I hope so.A cleaning person I used sprayed furniture polish on the hardwoods (argh!) so it might be a while.I still think the floors are wonderfully clean and the mop is easy to swivel around and use with the cord being a nice length.I didn't have water leak on the floor like the other reviewer but perhaps that is because I removed the water tank immediately after use - not sure.I think you would be happy with this mop.I clean up after a 2 and 4 year old so life is good now.

I was not sure how dirty they got so I ordered two extra.For our homeI find I only need to use one mop head each time I mop so I really didn't need the two extra ones.They will be great to have on hand when the first two wear out. They are very easy to put on the mop and you just put them in the washer when they are dirty.
