(More customer reviews)This item does what it says it will do. The initial startup was somewhat difficult simply due to having to go to the store and get 160 pounds of salt. After that, it's very easy to use. It gives the pool water a nice soft feeling. It has also kept the pool water completely clear without the addition of ANY chemicals. I don't need to shock it or add Ph. I test the water every other day and the levels are perfect. My two daughters have stated that they like our pool more than their cousins (exact same pool) because ours doesn't burn their eyes. They ahve swam in our pool for hours and their eyes aren't red. The next day they swam at their cousins for a couple of hours and their eyes were red and hurt.
I would recommend that the small "cone" filter that comes with this unit be checked every other day if not every day to keep the water flow strong.
The unit is very easy to install and would highly recommend it for any above ground pool owner.
