I've tried every trick in the book to get my shop vac to pick up fine clay particles on the studio floor without spewing them out as fast as i pick them out. Not this vacuum!!! I vacuumed the entire studio and not a particle of clay made it past the filters. i would recommend this vacuum to all potters!

Dust from diamond tools and drywall sanding is extremely fine, like talcum powder, and the tiniest particles (the dangerous ones) blow right through the filter of a typical shop vacuum. When traditional shop vacuums are fitted with baffles, or supplemental filters, for removing finer dust, they can clog up quickly. Airflow is restricted and the vac's ability to pull the dangerous dust out of the air is reduced.

Designed to handle extra-fine dust from concrete, stone, fiberglass, drywall, and more, the 16003 works with a patented two-filter system to effectively collect and keep the dust in the vacuum where it belongs.
Clean Filters Without the Mess
The primary filter can be cleaned without opening the vacuum and allowing dust to escape into the air. Simply shake the agitator rod to dislodge debris and dust, and you can get right back to vacuuming.
Both the primary and secondary filters are made out of machine-washable, synthetic fabric, so you'll never have to buy replacement filter bags for this vacuum.
Optional Micro Pre-Filter is Economical and Efficient
The ultimate in filtration is a HEPA filter, which captures airborne particles down to 0.3 microns. Dustless has a certified HEPA version of the Wet/Dry Vacuum, but if you want to save money, and you don't have to use a certified HEPA vacuum to meet OSHA, EPA or NIOSH guidelines, an economical alternative is to use the 16003 Wet/Dry Vacuum with an optional Micro Pre-Filter, which is available at one-tenth of the price of a HEPA filter.
As efficient as it is economical, the optional Micro Pre-Filter captures particles down to a half a micron--that's 0.0025", the width of a human hair. And because it can be a challenge to prevent clogs in such a fine filter, Dustless Technologies has made the Micro Pre-Filter oversized to give it more surface area--no other vacuum does the same. In fact, the wet/dry vac will maintain suction power with up to 40 pounds of dust--the Micro Pre-Filter itself can hold up to 80 pounds of dust.
Vacuums Liquids Without Hassle
Unlike other wet/dry vacuums, the 16003 allows you to go from dry to wet vacuuming without stopping to change the filters. When water is captured by the vacuum, it drains down the interior wall of the tank, away from the filters--a check ball prevents the water from rising up to the filters or motor.
This clever vac also features an automatic air shut off for all wet pickups, protecting the motor from filling with too much water. The included 12-foot hose can be used for drainage, and the drain can be regulated to drip or flow freely.

The 16003 emits only 81 decibels of noise and has a powerful motor that produces 23,000 RPM. This means you'll get maximum, consistent suction, even when the vacuum contains 40 pounds of dust and debris.
