(More customer reviews)I am in Anchorage where the winters are very dry.Since I've bought this, it has been running just about 24/7 for the past 2.5 months.The filter is fine and there are no issues with mold or anything.The one problem that I've had with it is that when it runs out of water, it keeps running, trying to suck up water that isnt there.There is no real auto shut off switch.It isnt a big problem with us since we just keep refilling it often and you will hear it running all the time and that will prompt you to check it out and refill it.Otherwise, I am really happy.We keep it in our foyer which is in the 2nd floor of the house and keep the fan on above it so it goes upstairs and downstairs.There are no issues with droplets like the mist ones have.So good so far.
