(More customer reviews)The pool won't connect to anything without it, so you need it. that said, I buy new plungers each year. they crack and are hard to lift up by the end of the summer. But heh, they are cheap and pools come with maintenance responsibilities. buy yourself a spare set so that if yours cracks, or becomes too difficult to lift up, you can simply change it out. You'll be glad you did. Search online for best price. Some vendors overcharge. You are in a rock and a hard place. You have to have these. So, they do work, and are just part of maintenance.
