(More customer reviews)The glass container portion is marginal, it does what its supposed to do which is collecting the water from the distiller. However the lid or cover is badly designed engineered. It makes pouring the water clumsy and difficult. The spout on the glass container itself is also badly designed, which means that when you want to pour the water out into another glass contained, or a drinking glass the water stream coming out of the spout separates and causes spills on the table or counter. The most annoying item is the terribly designed plastic cover. Its difficult to take off and difficult to place under the distiller. The spout cover is the worst piece of designing I have ever seen, it barely stays on, it has no hinge, it falls off as its held by mere friction, which itself is ill fitting. I guess your consideration in buying this item is exactly proportional to how much you want to avoid HBP and other industrial chemicals leaching into your water when using a standard plastic collector.

(More customer reviews)This is a cool filter. I found it easy to set up. I gave it a cleaning and got the filter all ready in no time. It works as said and the thing is nice to have. I was paying close to $30.00 a month for bottles water home delivery. three bottles at a time. With this unit it pays for it self the first use. It comes with the filter that last about 6 months and coast about $14.95 to replace. So in no time I will save money have clean water and not have to pick up a heavy bottle aging.

Now people might wonder is it hard to put it together. No not at all. You remove the parts two filters one long type other round. You screw the float thing to the bottom tank. Put ring on top of bottom tank. Screw round filter inside top tank. Then screw long filter under the top of the top tank. Set top thank on the middle ring. Then fill the top unit with clean water let it do its thing and you have drinking water. Also remove the bottle support from your water cooler.

The water is very good after the Zen filters it. I would recommend this water filter system without hesitation. I am very satisfied especially since I have elimated the need to stop at the grocery store to fill my water jugs.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this purifier in March because: 1) The tap water here is bad (as in "messed up my insides" bad); 2) Not a fan of bottled water; 3) SOOOO tired of Brita, Pur, etc...I was definitely hesitant to purchase this because of the lack of reviews and having never heard of the company before, but I haven't had a single issue with it (set up was not as painful as I thought it would be) and their customer service is freaking outstanding!

I am thrilled with this thing.I don't keep it in the fridge.I actually keep it on a raised counter top next to the sink (easy to fill and easy to access).The main problem I was having with tap water was indigestion and since I started using this, I haven't had any issues like I was having.The water tastes fantastic...it tastes like nothing.There are no "unknowns" floating around in it...it really is a great purifier.

I can't say much about the "Magnetized Water" because I just sort of skipped over that feature since I had no interest in it, but I can say that right now I'm close to a computer monitor and NO problems...if that helps. *wink*

So, yeah, I've tried Brita, I've tried Pur, I hated the expense of using any of their various systems (I tried many) and I drink a LOT of water, so I wanted something big.I have to refill this about every 2 days (I just use an empty coffee container to fill the reservoir - so easy) and I've only had to clean it once since purchasing it (the cleaning process is awesome too...everything is pretty much awesome about this beast).

I would absolutely recommend this to strangers as I've already recommended it to friends.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Zen Water Filtration system about two weeks.I had been using a faucet based Pur filter, which kept leaking as splashing water everywhere.I choose this type of system because of the alkaline aspects of it.Water with Alkaline provides antioxidants, and helps to raise the pH levels, which is good for a lot of health conditions.

The Zen Water system arrived within a few days of ordering it.My order included both the 4 gallon dispenser and countertop models.

I was able to set the countertop model up with about 20 minutes, after reading the cryptic documentation.However, a picture is worth a thousand words, and based on the picture, I was able to set it up.

When I opened the box, I was surprised to discover that both items were in the same box, so I had to sort through the contents very carefully.

Needless to say, it is now sitting on my countertop.It took about 20 minutes before I could see some water coming into the dispensing chamber.When it was about 1 quarter full, I tried tasting the water, and I have to admit, I was not impressed.However, I waited until the chamber was completely full, and it tasted very good.The water has a very smooth taste and I don't taste any powder or residue from going through the filtration process or that I experienced using the Pur water filter.

I tried comparing the water taste with water from several other systems: from my faucet, Brita and Pur water filters. The Zen Water system tasted significantly different.The water from my faucet made me think that I was drinking pure chlorine, the water from the Brita and Pur filter tastes like there was chauky it, but the water from the Zen Water Filtration system had no odor, and was very easy to drink.

I intend on buying a few stainless steel water bottles so that I can replace the Brita filter that I was using at work.

I compared this water filter with the Santevia system, which cost $200.They both use the same filtering methodology.The Santevia does mention that it is BPA free (for those who don't know, that means that the plastic will not bleed into your drinking water, which occurs when using plastic bottles).I have compared the taste of the Santevia with the Zen filter and the tastes are very similar. The overall construction of the parts seems relatively the same.So for me it made more sense to purchase this model.
