(More customer reviews)If any of you out there have one of those Intex, above-ground, metal framed pools...then this is a must have!!I have had my pool now for 3 years.Each year I have gone the chlorine route and had to buy expensive chemicals, add them all the time, check the water all the time, etc.But this year I purchased one of these, hooked it to my existing pump; followed the directions....And you just set it and forget it!!It sounded too good to be true...but it is true!! All you have to do is to push a button every once in a while to run the Boost cycle (after hard rains and about once a week-same as what you would call a Shock treatment with chemicals) and change the filter when in need.The new 2010 model even will give you a code if your salt level gets too low...or too high...or even if your water flow is low. You cannot taste the salt..no burning eyes, bathing suits dont change their colors..and the water is just as clear....I LOVE IT...and would highly recommend it.I can actually enjoy my pool!!It will pay for itself in the first season!!
