(More customer reviews)I purchased this filter a year ago for an 1,000 gallon indoor pond. Roughly 4 months after purchasing I noticed the bottom of the canister bowed out. I called Sunterra and was told to wait 6 more months until they got another shipment in (annoying!)

I followed up in 6 months, instead of sending a replacement canister they sent me a entirely new filter. The new filter I received was improved. It had clamps around where the top met the canister instead of the compression ring (huge improvement!).

The folks at Sunterra were helpful and the new filter has been working perfect for the last 6 months.

Note: I am using the 3000 gallon filter for a 1,000 gallon pond because I have quite a few fish in their that are highly messy. (I would rather over filter than under filter).

Also, the backwashing/cleaning feature is worthless.
