(More customer reviews)There's a purpose to reading the reviews from other customers and I'm kicking myself right now in not taking so many people's advice. The design of this pitcher is POOR. There is no other way to say it. The lid pops off. The entire insert falls out. I thought there was no way that the entire insert could fall out when you're pouring a simple glass of water but, LISTEN TO ME, it does. It has nothing to do with pouring incorrectly (how hard is it? I mean, really). I have practiced my pouring technique and realize that I must...MUST...keep two fingers semi-firmly on top of the pitcher's lid while I'm pouring. That way, my only mess will be from the poorly-designed spout and not the poorly-designed lid.
I'm very disappointed. Brita has a strong name and reputation. It's really ridiculous that this product is still being advertised on their main site. They blew it big time with this design.
My apologies to all of you who took the time to write a review that I ignored. It will never happen again.
