(More customer reviews)This pump is just the right size for my 500-gallon pond. I installed it a week ago and water clarity is already much better. Since it has 3 layers of filtration, including zeolite chips, it should keep ammonia levels from becoming toxic. Maintenance is easy. Before I installed it, I opened it up. It has one simple latch, and you can see everything inside without a lot of parts to detach. Unfortunately, it came without a manual, so I emailed the company. They were very responsive, and are in the process of putting manuals online. Hard to tell if my fish are indeed happier since I haven't asked them yet!
