(More customer reviews)I bought the the smaller Premia pitcher for myself and liked it so much that I bought this one for my mom & dad. Everyone needs to help keep plastic water bottles out of the earth and for them, they save a lot as well which is good since they're on a limited budget.Water tastes great and the filter lasts twice as long as the competition.The timer on the top helps as well so they don't have to think about when they need to replace the filter.The timer tells them.Great product!

(More customer reviews)I received this as a wedding gift (my colors were purple...HOW PERFECT!). This pitcher is awesome! I used to buy bottled water to encourage myself to drink more water each day, but it just gets too expensive, this pitcher seemed like a wonderful alternative, now I can fill my own water bottles :) I can't stand the flavor of water that is filtered using the reverse-osmosis filtration method, which is what almost ALL water companies use for some reason. Arrowhead is one of the only companies I have found that doesn't use the reverse-osmosis method of filtration, that is by far my preferred brand of bottled water. I was hoping to find a simple at home filtration method to cut costs, and save plastic waste, but achieve the same great flavor that Arrowhead offers (instead of the chemical under-taste that reverse-osmosis water has). I FOUND IT!! The Brita Pitcher is well constructed with thick durable plastic and it filters the water very quickly and in minutes, from tap through filter to your glass, you have a refreshing and great tasting glass of water! I was concerned that the water would taste just like tap water since it passes through the filter so fast, but it doesn't...there is a definite difference, A GREAT DIFFERENCE! The pitcher has a digital readout on top (battery life approx 5 yrs) that you set when you replace the filter and then as the 4 bars diminish (1 bar every 2 wks) you are well aware of when you will need to replace the filter, no guesswork. Filter replacement is very easy, soak it in water for a little bit, rinse it off, put it in the pitcher top and you're ready to go! I usually filter 2 pitchers full of water through the new filter just to clear out some of the charcoal dust, I don't know if that is necessary or not, the water comes through crystal clear every time. I do notice that the first few glasses of water through the new filter taste slightly different, but not in a bad way...and then they all seem to taste the same for the next 2 months until I replace the filter again. The filters can seem a bit expensive, but I buy the pack of 6, which will last 1 year, and they end up paying for themselves very quickly! Overall, I would definitely recommend this item to anyone! If you have a large family I would probably recommend getting the larger size pitcher...there's just me and my husband and we have to refill the pitcher once daily on average.
