(More customer reviews)Pros: The full width, but shallow produce/deli drawer is useful and good to have a selectable temp according to what's in it. We set the temp to Deli and keep sliced meats and cheese in it and its perfect for that, wide but shallow so everything is visible. That drawer complements the usual 2 produce drawers which are directly above. Door storage is nicely adjustable. The freezer has an upper drawer that works well for storage.

Cons: The icemaker kicks the ice into the tray with a real racket. Our old Amana made some noise this way, but this one wakes me up some nights. The ice thru the door will splash the drink onto the floor if there is already liquid in the glass (maybe other models do this too). The buttons on the door for controlling the fridge and thru-door functions aren't very good. The buttons are part of a smooth face, but the lighted phrases that indicate the mode are not buttons, the buttons are around the edges and aren't lit. Most folks try to press on the lighted phrases, which is more intuitive. For instance, to get ice thru the door, you have to first look and see if the symbol above "cubed", "crushed", or "water", is lit, and if your desired selection is not lit, you have to press the button marked "ice & water", WHICH IS NOT LIT, until your desired selection is lit. I know how to work it now, but no one new figures it out without help.

I should caveat these cons with the fact that we chose this fridge without trying it out first. We went to a Sears scratch and dent store, where we were able to save $1000 off list, but the models weren't powered up for demo. If I could have tried them powered up and found another model with more intuitive door controls I might have chosen that. But overall it is a very good fridge, especially at the price we paid.

(More customer reviews)Water and ice worked for about 2 minutes, since then I have not been able to get any ice or water from the door.Whirlpool sent some parts and admitted it is a common problem because the waterlines freezes, but it still doesn't work. I attempted to defrost it with a hair dryer for 2 hours but that didn't work either. It freezes produce closing the humidifier slots helps some.The touch panel is fussy it doesn't always register your preference.2 repair calls and it is still not fixed this is a high end disaster. This is a new design and Whirlpool has some serious design work to do on this model.

(More customer reviews)My wife and I bought this French door, counter depth Electrolux in late April of this year (2010.) I have to say, I am not happy with this refrigerator at all.

First, it is occasionally very noisy and sounds like popcorn is popping inside. I think this is related to the icemaker, which also doesn't dispense very well at all.

Second, the door design on this unit is terrible. There is a moving weatherseal on the right-hand door that keeps it from just naturally closing. You have to exert a fair amount of force to close it. With the icemaker on the left door (and after years of side-by-side units) the right hand door is the natural one to use to access the fridge. Because of the hinged seal strip, it often doesn't quite close. Why they didn't put the seal on the left door is beyond me. It also doesn't indicate that it is ajar and the icemaker actually makes noise like it is working, but it doesn't engage and dispense ice.

Third and finally, it is extremely easy to cause the freezer baskets to jump out of their mounts and jam up.

I would highly not recommend this unit.
