(More customer reviews)Pay heed to the one-star review. I was just rinsing the lid off with lukewarm water and it cracked and broke. The lid had sat and cooled to room temperature before I rinsed it. It was never dropped or mishandled in any way. Very strange. Grosche offers a replacement lid and infuser set but Amazon doesn't offer it for sale!!!! It really kinda sucks too because this is a great tea pot otherwise.

Sept 17 2010 UPDATE!!!!

When this originally happened I emailed the company and they said the infuser/lid replacements were out of stock and they would be available in a few weeks on Amazon (which they now are). However, last week I received an email from thier customer service saying that for being so patient they were going to send me a new infuser/lid at NO CHARGE!!! I got it in the mail today. Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Thanks Grosche! This product is now FIVE STARS all the way!!!

(More customer reviews)My old Zojirushi water boiler conked out after 8 years of regular use, so I ordered the CD-WBC30. Features have gotten better in 8 years: the LCD display shows the temperature, and I have 4 thermostat settings instead of two. I used to have to choose between 208 degrees (too hot) and 140 degrees (too cold). I can now also select 195 degrees and 175 degrees. The 175 degree setting is just fine for instant coffee and oatmeal. I've used this boiler for two months without problems.

The unit features a micro-computerized temperature-control system and four keep-warm temperature settings that include 140, 175, 195, and 208 degrees F. Simple one-touch controls supply a reboil button, which reboils water to 212 degrees F; a dispense button; an unlock button that must be pressed before pressing the dispense button; and temperature- and timer-setting buttons.
