Hunter 33202 Carefree Humidifier Plus Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I thought this humidifier sounded perfect--no filters, low noise, yearly cleaning. What a disappointment. It sounds like a constant running faucet and on any setting other than low, it sounds like industrial equipment. After one month, there wasslime and mildew all over the inside.I would never recommend it.

Product Description:
Equipped with a filter that never needs to be replaced, Hunter's Carefree, cool-mist humidifier means low maintenance and optimal humidity levels for happier noses, fewer colds, healthy plants, sound musical instruments, and more! The unit's easy-to-fill, tote-away tank snaps on and off for easy transport to the nearest sink. A chic design features contemporary styling and a smaller footprint that takes up less floor space. An exclusive NiteGlo night light casts a soft, blue light when it's time for lights out. And, a separate ON/OFF switch lets the night light glow even when the humidifier is off. The Carefree's exclusive PermaWick filter never needs replacement for cheaper, maintenance-free operation.Hunter included several cleaning enhancements for easy maintenance: Antimicrobial properties hinder the growth of bacteria, mold, and fungi on the PermaWick filter and plastic parts. A special release valve helps eliminate mold by releasing stagnant water. The PermaWick is designed so that water flows from the top of the humidifier down; saturating the entire filter to speed up moisture output and to prevent the buildup of harmful mineral residue. Plus, a dishwasher-safe pan and tank makes cleaning effortless while rounded tank corners wipe dry quickly. To simplify the refilling process, the Carefree comes with an extra large tank opening for quick fills at the bathtub or sink. Best of all, the unit's three-speed fan ensures quiet operation while a radial blower delivers maximum moisture with minimal noise. Hunter covers this humidifier with a limited 5-year warranty.

(More customer reviews)I have read the other reviews and I can understand your disappointments but I have NEVER bought a table top humidifier of ANY brand that stood the test of time over prolonged use.I bought mine from Walmart recently and seems okay so far and a little noisy on the low speed more than I had hoped but all I care it keeps my family and all my pets healthier during the cold winter months.I have 90 days to return it to Walmart with my box and receipt should I not be happy with it or becomes defective within that 90 days from date of purchase. Also, the Hunter manufacturer gives you a five year warranty to return it to them (at your mailing cost) and they would send you back another unit at no cost to you. They just don't make things to last today like they used to. Just make sure whomever you buy this unit from you save your receipt and original box with bar code on it if possible for full refund, exchange or to mail back to the manufacturer.

Product Description:
Breathe easier and sleep more comfortably with this cool-mist humidifier. Designed for large rooms up to 1175 square feet, the unit provides a NiteGlow night light and an output capacity of 2 gallons every 24 hours. Its airtight, watertight, Tote Away tank offers a built-in handle for convenient transport and a large refill port to simplify filling. Three whisper-quiet fan speeds make it easy to adjust the humidity output rate, while the adjustable humidistat works to maintain the desired humidity level. The low-maintenance humidifier also comes with a permanent PermaWick filter, and its antimicrobial properties, which are incorporated into the plastic parts and the wick, inhibit the growth of mold, fungi, and bacteria. Even more, its regulated water-release system eliminates stagnant water while preventing mineral build-up on the wick or filter, which can impede performance in ordinary evaporative humidifiers. The unit requires routine cleaning and maintenance depending on use and individual conditions, and its base and tank clean up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. Ideal for a child's room, living room, or home office, the 74-watt cool-mist humidifier measures approximately 13-1/2 by 11 by 11-1/2 inches and carries a five-year limited warranty.

Hunter 34357 3-1/2-Gallon CareFree Plus Humidifier with PermaWick Filter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We bought one of these Hunter humidifiers a few years ago.I liked the big tank, low-maintenance and no consumables (no wicks or filters to buy). The only problem was, as others have mentioned, that often when it switched off, a gallon or more of water would promptly dump onto my floor.I finally called Hunter to complain about it, and I have to say I'm incredibly impressed with their customer service, and with the simple fix (new design for the tray) which appears to fix the problem completely. This is now a very competent humidifier, and we're really happy with it.You won't see a cool plume of water vapor spewing from this unit, but it does work really well, and it's very easy to keep clean (just throw parts of it in the dishwasher, and use vinegar and water to de-calcify the other parts).

For those who are shopping for a humidifier, you first have to decide what's important to you.For me, the ultrasonic ones are a no-go because they spew white powder all over my room (mineral dust from our hard water). The hot steam ones are a no-go because they get all nasty from bacteria, fungi, etc.I don't want to breathe that stuff in.And while the fan is far from silent, we actually like it at night, it's a nice gentle drone that helps lull us to sleep.

Nice job, Hunter, on fixing the original design flaw, and on supporting the product so well.
