(More customer reviews)As another reviewer noted it is a bit of a struggle to change the cartridge but that has a lot to do with where the unit is mounted.I have two of these units, one was already installed in a house I bought and I had the other installed in a condo.The one in the house is at the back of the cabinet under the sink and it is a bear to change.The other I had put up front and it's not bad at all.For one thing you must follow the instructions to the letter when changing the cartridge.If you do, it won't be hard and it won't leak.There is a little stick-on alarm device that tells you when to change the cartridge.Throw that away, it's purpose is to sell more cartridges.The cartridge needs replacing when the flow gets slow.Mine last a year or more (2 people).Also, ask you plumber which system he or she recommends.Mine thinks highly of Everpure.
