I switched from sa Brita filter years aago and have no regrets.
At work, we get the big 5 gallon bottles of water for the cooler.well, when that water hits room temp, it tastes like stale tap water.When the PUR filtered water warms toroom temp, it remains colorless odorless and tasteless.
