Holmes HAP424-U HEPA-Type Tower Air Purifier Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got this filter because I have cats and birds, and before I started using it, I always had a coating of "bird dust" on everything and was concerned about breathing it. I bought it in mid summer, and in early fall, I opened it up to see if the filters were "catching" anything, and sure enough, they were covered with a fine powdery silt, and then I realized that the bird dust that used to cover desks and other surfaces had almost disappeared since I had started using it.I was grateful to know that the machine had been doing its job.Whenever it was on, I did notice a subtle change in air quality...it seemed fresher.I have kept it running almost constantly for three months, and have not had any problems with it.

While it's working, I don't notice the sound that much, especially on the lower setting which is what I usually keep it on.It simply becomes "white noise".The higher setting is definitely louder, so if that's something that bothers a person, it should be kept in mind, but it's a humming, blowing sound, not rattling or harsh.

I can't compare it to other air purifiers because it's the only one I've ever had, but for the price, and for a person on a budget, I think it's done an amazing job.I'd like to get another for a different part of my house.

Jupiter Orion Water Ionizer - Model JP109 - 5 Yr. Warranty Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We've been buying bottled RO water (reverse osmosis) for a number of years now and I had no idea how much it was impacting my health.

Before I started drinking alkaline water I was bloated, tired and had an array of other health issues like IBS. I was so tired each day; I could barely get through eight hours before feeling like I needed a nap. I realized that I could never handle drinking reverse osmosis water because I couldn't get passed the first glass without instantly feeling bloated! I found it difficult trying to drink 6 + glasses of RO water a day because I was always instantly bloated!

I used the pH testing Kit that came with the Orion Water Ionizer to test the pH level of our RO water.I discovered that the pH level was under 6.0 which means that it was acidic. I later learned that the acidic RO water was actually contributing negatively to the health issues I had.

Now, when I drink the alkaline water from my Orion, I don't get bloated! This is amazing! For years I really never liked drinking water as it made me bloated every day. The alkaline water tastes sweet which makes it very pleasurable to drink and I now easily drink my 6-8 glasses a day without any bloating at all! I have a lot more energy to get me through my busy day without feeling like I need a mid afternoon nap and the best part of it all is my IBS symptoms are gone! I wish I learned about this a long time ago.

I highly recommend the Jupiter Orion JP109 Water Ionizer to anyone looking to improve their health. It's helped me and my family tremendously. I purchased this water ionizer from Kitchen's Best as I have made other purchases from this company in the past. They have been superb to deal with and have great customer service.

Vitalizer Plus Hexagonal Oxygen Water Maker Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I know this is a lot of money, BUT. . .I tried water from this machine at a girlfriend's health product store in Newark Delaware recently. The taste was soooo different. You use bottled water.Pour the water into the machine, set the number you want it on, then run it thru the machine. You see this little tornado like in the picture and it breaks up the water molecules and does all this scientific stuff to the water to make it easier for your body to absorb. It also adds minerals to the water based on the filter that comes with the machine.I have not gotten to all the nitty gritty yet, but I understand the filter is to be replaced once a year and costs about $85.You are supposed to work your way up in the intensity of the water from 9 to 27.I am only at 11 right now and the water tastes so fresh and clean and makes you feel really good when you drink it (energy good). Can't wait till I get up to 27.My friend said that you can make your water about 2 weeks ahead if you want to, more if you refrigerate it.Once you try it, you might not ever want regular water again. There are supposed to be a lot of health benefits to this water, too.You can easily make yourself up some and take it to work or in the car or give it to a friend to try.

My first impression of this water was such a crisp invigorating taste. It reminded me of water I experienced directly from the upper part of the Athabasca Glacier in Alberta (Western) Canada. It tasted so healthy and so pure.

I will be back when I get to 27 to give you an update.

Update Nov 25, 2008-I am up to 20, and still loving it.It has such a clean, satisfying taste. I usually brew up a bunch of bottles while I am in the kitchen getting ready for work.

Update Dec 12, 2008-I am up to 27, and still loving it.I have made some water up for several friends and they love it too. Most people can really taste the difference and seem to feel much more energized while and after drinking it.It seems to be a piece of the health puzzle. You can do some google searches on hexagonal water to find out more about clustering within the water and see some pictures of before and after water molecules.

Update Feb 28, 2010--Still using and loving it.

A growing amount of evidence suggests that drinking Hexagonal Water has numerous health benefits. The Vitalizer Plus was designed to create an unlimited supply of Hexagonal Water for every day consumption - it's small enough to sit on your kitchen counter - durable enough to make all the hexagonal water you will ever need! The Vitalizer Plus incorporates basic principles utilized in nature to create a life-enhancing, hexagonally-structured water, your body craves!Nature uses movement (swirling vortexes and natural curves), energy (magnetic fields from the earth and far infrared energy from the sun), minerals (naturally dissolved as water flows over mineral formations) and oxygen (incorporated as water splashes and falls). The Vitalizer Plus uses these same principles, to create Vitalized Water in your own home! How does Nature create crystal clear living water? It begins with the rain or snow which is naturally energized and often highly structured water. It uses movement - vortexes of energy and natural curves. It adds oxygen and minerals as water splashes and falls and It uses vital magnetic fields from the earth, and far infrared (FIR) energy from the sun. The end result? A highly energized, structured, mineralized, oxygenated and purified living water!Vitalizer Plus is scientifically documented to: 1. Structure water - powerful magnetic and infrared forces reduce the size of individual water clusters, creating Hexagonal Water for more rapid penetration into the cells of your body.2. Increase Oxygen - turbulent forces create a visible vortex, increasing the amount of oxygen in your drinking water - up to 30%.3. Add minerals - a mineral core within the unit, releases structure-making minerals during the vitalizing process to help structure the water and increase alkalinity.4. Add energy - the resulting energy in Vitalized water is enough to begin to balance the organs of your body - within minutes after drinking.
